§ 30-49. Technology surcharge.

(a)

Any person against whom a fine is imposed by the Municipal Court of the City of Colquitt, Georgia for the violation of any of the laws or ordinances of the City of Colquitt, Georgia or the laws of the State of Georgia shall be subject to and have assessed a technology surcharge in the amount of $10.00 per violation. Said technology surcharge to be in addition to all other fines and fees imposed by the municipal court. All revenue derived from the technology surcharge shall be utilized by the city to provide technology support for the Colquitt Police Department and Colquitt Municipal Court functions.

(b)

The city administrator is hereby given the authority to adjust the fees set forth in subsection (a). Should anyone object to the fees established by the city administrator, they are hereby given the right to appeal to the mayor and council.
