§ 6-36. License categories.

  • (a)

    Licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages shall be of four classes, as follows:

    (1)

    Class I licenses shall be for the retail package sale only of malt beverages and wine.

    (2)

    Class II licenses shall be for the retail sales of malt beverages and wine for on-premises consumption only.

    (3)

    Class III licenses shall be for retail package sales of distilled spirits.

    (4)

    Class IV licenses shall be for wholesalers of alcoholic beverages.

    (b)

    A separate application is required for each license category enumerated in subsection (a) of this section. The city council will act upon each application separately.

    (c)

    No manufacturer, wholesaler or retailer licensed to sell packaged distilled spirits shall hold any consumption on the premises license for the same location.
