§ 6-52. Period fee applicable; due date; fee required; proration.

Each such license fee shall be for the calendar year. The fee shall be due and payable in advance by January 1 of each year. Any person desiring to have an alcoholic beverage business in the city shall pay the prescribed fee and obtain a license before commencing business. No license fee shall be prorated for the sale of distilled spirits, nor shall any other license fee be prorated for the sale of any other type of alcoholic beverage in the city.
